The Southeast Booster Club is the primary fund raising organization for the Department of Athletics at Southeast Missouri State University, and is part of the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.

Over the years, the Booster Club has done an outstanding job of supporting the athletic program. However, it is imperative that we continue to attract new members and generate new revenue to Keep Southeast competitive at the Division 1 level.

Annual financial support by alumni and friends goes primarily to support athletic scholarships for male and female student-athletes at Southeast. During the 2006-2007 school year, Southeast will provide scholarship assistance to nearly 280 student-athletes who excel not only in athletic competition but in the classroom. A record 144 student-athletes were honored as Southeast Scholar Athletes in 2004 meaning that 52% of the student-athletes have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Your continued support of our athletic program is essential as costs continue to go up. Next year's scholarships will require nearly $2.1 million in athletic revenue.

Southeast competes in NCAA Division I and the Ohio Valley Conference and offers 15 sports:
MEN'S SPORTS: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Indoor & Outdoor Track, Cross Country
WOMEN'S SPORTS: Basketball, Gymnastics, Softball, Volleyball, Tennis, Soccer, Indoor & Outdoor Track, Cross Country

Method of Giving
Annual Cash Gifts are the most common form of giving. They allow the athletic department to allocate money to the area of greatest need, primarily for scholarships.

Matching Gifts give you the opportunity to double or triple your gift at no cost to you. Many companies have matching gift programs for contributions by their employees. Check with your company's Benefits Department for matching gift information.

Gift In Kind such as contributions of product, merchandise, equipment, or services are often provided in support of the athletic program. Credit toward membership is given based on the fair market value of the trade-out involved.

Memorial Gifts, established as a scholarship endowment, provide needed financial assistance to our young men and women student-athletes. A memorial fund is a great way to perpetuate a family name while significantly supporting athletics.

Other Giving Options include endowed gifts, real estate, securities, life insurance policies, stocks or monies through trusts and bequests.
