Women's Tennis Loses to Missouri, 7-0

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (0-2) dropped a 7-0 decision to Big 12 Conference member Missouri (1-0) Sunday morning at the Green Tennis Center.

Mizzou won every set en route to its first win of the season.

Kaitlyn Ritchie defeated Nikole Novikova (No. 1), Mallory Weber defeated Elizabeth Nyenwe (No. 2), Maria Christensen defeated Ashton Hartley (No. 3), Jamie Mera beat Laura Garcia (No. 4), Rachel Stuhlmann upended Lauren Schaper (No. 5) and Mahdi Besovic defeated Sarah Pettigrew (No. 6) in single action.

The Tigers then swept all three doubles matches to complete their season-opening shutout.

NaJeana Henderson also competed for Southeast, losing in straight-sets to Annemijn Koenen.

The Redhawks return to Cape Girardeau for a four-match homestand, beginning against Bradley on Feb. 5.
