Lynn Named OVC Pitcher of the Week
Southeast Missouri junior pitcher Dylan Lynn
was named Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon by the conference office. Lynn is the second Redhawk pitcher to garner the award as Shae Simmons
earned the honor earlier this season. Lynn threw a complete game in a 3-1 win over Tennessee Tech on Sunday. It was the first complete game for a Redhawk pitcher since Jon Dicus
threw a complete game against UT Martin on May 27, 2011 in the OVC Tournament.
Countdown to 900
Head coach Mark Hogan reached 900 wins in his career last Tuesday after the Redhawks 5-3 win over Arkansas State. Hogan has coached at the NJCAA (Lurleen B. Wallace), NCAA Division II (West Alabama) and NCAA Division I level (Southeast). Hogan has 517 wins at Southeast Missouri. Hogan collected his 500th career win against Eastern Illinois last season on May 20, 2011.In 2007, he passed Southeast legendary coach Joe Uhls
as the schools all-time wins leader.
Senior Kenton Parmley
's historic hitting streak came to an end at 47-games on Sunday. His streak is tied for third all-time in NCAA Division I history. He continued his reaching base safely streak (57-games) after a hit-by-pitch. Parmley's streak started on May 17, 2011 against Ole Miss. During his streak he recorded 25 multi-hit contests and recorded three or more hits nine times.
Senior Trenton Moses
has now reached base safely in a school record 61-straight contest that dates back to last season. Moses, who currently sports .539 on-base percentage, which is second in the nation.
Sophomore Derek Gibson
is currently riding a 25-game hitting streak that started against Arkansas-Little Rock, a contest in which he hit his first career home run. He extended his hitting streak on Sunday with a double to right centerfield

The Southeast Missouri baseball team won their second straight contest and their fourth straight over Southern Illinois on April 10 at Capaha Field downing the Salukis, 4-1. Releivers Tony Zerrusen

(one inning) were strong throwing five innings, not allowing a run on five hits. Prick ettt closed out the game earning his second save of the season. Starter Dylan Lynn
(2-0) threw a career-high four innings allowing one run on three hits with career-high six strikeouts.Sophomore Derek Gibson
extended his hitting streak to 18-games as the outfielder was 2-for-4 in the contest.Senior Trenton Moses
extended his reaching base safely streak to 54-games with a single to left field in his final at-bat.
