CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri cross country teams will travel to Ames, Iowa for the NCAA Midwest Regional Friday, Nov. 15. The Midwest Regional will be hosted by Iowa State University at the Iowa State Cross Country Course. The men will toe the starting line at noon followed by the women at 1:15 p.m.

The men will run a 10k race while the women run the 6k course. 
The Southeast women are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship two weeks ago. Rebekah Lawson placed second in the ladies' 5k race with a time of 17:49.
On the men's side, the Redhawks turned in a fifth-place finish as Craig Munie paced the Redhawks with a seventh-place finish in 24:59.
Both Lawson and Munie earned First Team All-OVC honors for their performances.
Fellow OVC teams Eastern Illinois and SIUE will be in Ames for the Midwest Regional.
This marks the first time since 1997 that the Iowa State Cyclones have hosted the Midwest Regional.
Ames will be home to teams from 13 conferences including the Atlantic 10, Big 12, Big East, Big Sky, Big 10, Conference USA, Horizon League, Mid-American, Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, Summit League, SEC and WAC, spanning across nine different states (Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Dakota).
The top two teams and top four individuals not on an advancing team move on to the NCAA Championships, held in Terra Haute, Ind. Additional teams and individuals are chosen through an at-large selection process following the regional competition.
