Bradley Named OVC Newcomer of the Week
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.
- Southeast Missouri junior forward Jarekious Bradley
was named Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week Monday, earning the honor for the second time this season.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., Bradley scored over 20 points in back-to-back games for Southeast last week. He scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds at Ball State (Nov. 18). Four days later, Bradley pitched in 21 points and added seven rebounds, while shooting 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from the field vs. Mid-Continent. He finished the week averaging 23.5 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 58.3 percent (17-of-29) from the field and 90 percent (9-of-10) at the free throw line.
Bradley currently ranks third in the OVC in scoring with 19.3 points a game.
Belmont's Craig Bradshaw (Co-Player of the Week) and Evan Bradds (Freshman of the Week), and Morehead State's Chad Posthumus (Co-Player of the Week) rounded out this week's honorees.
