About Eastern Kentucky – The Colonels have won five of their last six games and sit at 12-7 overall and 6-2 conference play (second place in the OVC East Division). EKU just completed a weekly sweep of the Nashville schools, downing OVC co-leader Belmont (55-51) and Tennessee State (62-54) at home on Saturday and Monday, respectively. Jade Barber (13.2 points per game), Marie Carpenter (10.9) and Brittany Coles (10.1) are all averaging double figure points while Barber is the league's top rebounder at 10.8 boards per game. The senior center is also second in the league in field goal percentage (56.8) and blocked shots (1.9 per game). The Colonels allow the second-fewest points (58.6 per game) in the OVC and their 34.8 opponents field goal percentage is the best in the league.

Last Meeting – Southeast took a 23-22 lead into the locker room at EKU last season, but the Redhawks were done in by a poor second half shooting performance. The Redahwks made only 4-of-30 (13.3 percent) second half field goal attempts and were outscored by the Colonels, 30-14, over the final 20 minutes. Brittany Harriel posted a double-double fo 11 points and 11 rebounds, the only Southeast player to crack double figures. Jade Barber came off the bench to record a 14 point, 10 rebound double-double in only 19 minutes of playing time.

With a win, Southeast would…
•Snap a five-game losing streak.

•Be 7-3 at home for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

•Post its most victories since the 2008-09 season.

Record Shooters – Bailie Roberts and Allyson Bradshaw etched their names into the Southeast record books during its road trip last weekend. The duo cracked the Redhawks' career top-10 list of three-pointers made. Roberts sits 10th all-time at Southeast with 70 three-pointers in her four-year career. In only her second year, Bradshaw sits ninth in school history with 74 three-point makes, eight behind Anne Cate's career total of 82. The Cape Girardeau, Mo., native has hit 40 three-pointers this season and is nine makes shy of cracking the single-season top-10 list at Southeast.

Nice Game Rook – Kara Wright had a big night in Southeast's contest at SIU Edwardsville on Monday, scoring a team-high 22 points. That effort tied Wright with Bailie Roberts for the most points a Southeast player has scored this season. It's been a long time since a freshman scored like Wright did. The last Southeast freshman to score 20 points in a game was Tarina Nixon, who tallied 21 at Jacksonville State on Dec. 20, 2005.

Nearing a Milestone – Senior Bailie Roberts has been on quite a roll lately, scoring in double figures in eight of Southeast's last 10 games and averaging 12.8 points per game in that span. Roberts is 113 points shy of becoming the 17th Redhawk to score 1,000 career points. In order to hit that mark during the regular season, she needs to average 14.1 points over Southeast's final eight games. Only six players have scored 1,000 points playing Division I at Southeast for their entire career dating back to the 1991-92 season. The last Southeast player to score 1,000 points was Tarina Nixon, who did so during the 2008-09 season and finished her career with 1,150 points.

Recent Slump – Southeast followed a season-best three-game winning streak with a five-game losing skid. During their three wins, Southeast allowed only 55.4 points per game on 32.4 percent shooting while averaging 65.7 points per game. The Redhawks' offense has still been strong enough at 64.0 points per game, but their defense has struggled. Southeast is yielding 76.0 points and opponents are shooting 43.4 percent from the floor in the last five games.
