Setting the Table
The Southeast Missouri baseball team hosts Oral Roberts this weekend at Capaha Field. The Golden Eagles were a 2012 NCAA Regional Qualifer and carry a 3-4 record coming into this weekend. Game times are set for 3:00 p.m. on Friday, 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Redhawks Against ORU
The Redhawks hold a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series against Oral Roberts. The two teams last met in 1997 as the Redhawks took two games of a three game set against ORU. The two teams also met in 1995.

Going Streaking
Southeast sophomore Andy Lennington extended his hitting streak to a career-high 11 games on Tuesday with an RBI single. Lennington has hit in all nine games this season and earned a hit in the final two games of 2012. He is second in the OVC in RBI with 12 on the season.

Southeast sophomore Jason Blum leads the Ohio Valley Conference in runs this season with 12. He also ranks fifth in the OVC in batting average at .394.

Preseason OVC Polls
The Southeast Missouri Baseball team was picked eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll. Austin Peay, the OVC Co-Regular season and tournament champions in back-to-back seasons were picked to win the league with 14 first place votes. Southeast Missouri junior left fielder Derek Gibson was named Preseason All-OVC after earning First-Team All-OVC last season by the coaches and sports information directors in the OVC.
