Stone Heads to Portsmouth Invitational Tournament This Week

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri forward Tyler Stone will play in the 62nd annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament this week. The event is scheduled for Apr. 16-19 at the Churchland High School Sports Complex in Portsmouth, Va.

Stone is one of 64 college seniors selected to play in this prestigious tournament. It is the only postseason event for college seniors prior to the NBA Pre-Draft Camp. The P.I.T. allows players to participate in a four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team. All players are guaranteed three games.

A native of Memphis, Tenn., Stone will be on a team with Texas Southern's Aaric Murray, Middle Tennessee State's Shawn Jones, Seton Hall's Fuquan Edwin, North Dakota State's Taylor Braun, Ohio's Nick Kellogg, Saint Louis' Jordair Jett and Massachusetts' Chaz Williams.

Stone is one of four Ohio Valley Conference players headed to this year's Portsmouth Invitational, joining Belmont's J.J. Mann, Morehead State's Chad Posthumus and Tennessee State's Patrick Miller.
