Track & Field Continues to Hone In at Hoosier Hills

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Southeast Missouri track & field teams competed at the Hoosier Hills Invitational Friday on the campus of Indiana University.
Christian Locke finished ninth in the men's pole vault with a vault height of 16' 2.75".
In the women's shot put, Sarah Hall placed fourth with a toss of 46' 10". Kayla Gutierrez finished seventh with a shot of 45' 1.75". In the men's shot put, Shon Kyle took fourth with a toss of 55' 0.75" and Kevin Farley finished sixth with a 54' 4.50" shot.
Gutierrez finished third in the weight throw with a toss of 63' 4.75" while Hall finished ninth with a 57' 3.75" weight throw. Farley placed fourth on the men's side with a mark of 64' 7". Kyle placed 14th with a 56' 1.75" throw.
Ayonna Cartwright was the runner-up in the 60m dash with a new personal record time of 7.60 seconds.
Cartwright also placed second in the 200m dash in 25.13 seconds. Chelsea Miller finished sixth in 26 seconds, a new PR, and Kayla Heidelberg finished ninth in 26.48 seconds. Jarred Pasley finished seventh in the men's race in 22.42 seconds.
Cheyenne Tunti finished seventh in the 400m dash with a new PR time of 57.25 seconds. Pasley also PR'ed in the 400 with a fourth-place time of 49.08 seconds.
Cole Davis picked up a fourth-place finish in the 600m run in 1:22.18.
In the women's 800m, Megan Parks finished 10th in 2:18.76. Alyssa Rebecca and Eilish Overby finished in 13th and 14th in 2:21.13 and 2:21.31, respectively. Kameron Long finished fifth in the men's race in a new personal best time of 1:54.34
In the men's mile, Marc Maton took fifth in 4:12.22.
Craig Munie finished the men's 3000m 16th in 8:27.16.
The women's 4x400m relay team of Cartwright, Jovannie Spears, Miller, and Tunti finished sixth in 3:57.03. The men's team of Long, Pasley, Tyler Holmes, and Mike Peters finished fifth in 3:21.27.
Southeast will host the 2015 Redhawks Invite Feb. 20.
