In total, the event raised over $45,000 for SEMO Athletics.
Assistant Director of Athletics for External Affairs Nate Saverino
had this to say: "I would like to thank the trivia night committee for their help putting this event together. It was a planning process that lasted several months and we're very happy with how everything turned out and we hope everyone had a great time. We're already looking forward to next year!"
The event sold out in its first year, hosting 50 teams and over 400 people during the evening. Aside from eight rounds of trivia, the event featured live and silent auctions, as well as a wing-eating contest, and 50/50 raffle.
Director of Athletics Brady Barke
said, "Nate and the rest of the committee put in a tremendous amount of work to make this a memorable first event. We raised over $45,000 that will go towards scholarships for our student-athletes. I know our coaches and student-athletes really enjoyed having an opportunity to interact with our fans at this evening's event."
Erik Sean, SEMO ESPN Radio play-by-play announcer and voice of the Redhawks, emceed the event. Each round, which featured a different category, was sponsored by various local businesses and establishments.
