Southeast Missouri's track & field teams will travel to Bloomington, Indiana this weekend to participate in the Indiana Relays.
The meet will open Friday evening with the heptathlon's 60m dash at 5 p.m. with the final race being held at 9:10 p.m. Competition will resume Saturday morning at 9:20 a.m.
Last Weekend - Missouri Invitational
Continuing on recent success, the women's distance runners won the full podium in the 3000m. Kaitlyn Shea
lead the pact with a new personal best time of 10:04.98. Both Sydney O'Brien
and Danielle Mohrmann
also posted personal records, finishing with times of 10:12.07 and 10:22.79 respectively.
For field events, men's throwers Stephen Zagurski
and Logan Blomquist
each recorded their second top-four finishes in shot put this season in as many meets. Zagurski kicked off the meet with a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with a toss measuring 53'6" (16.30m). Blomquist placed third in shot put at 50'7.5" (15.43m) while Zagurski took fourth with a personal best of 49'8.5" (15.15m).
Early Conference Marks
currently holds the second-best OVC time in the 400m this season at 57.37
and Nick South
sit in the top-two spots for men's pole vault this season, with Rush's height of 15'7" leading the pact.
After adjustments for track size, Wesley White
's Southeast debut time in the 55m hurdles (7.65) is second in the OVC 60m hurdle ranks (8.24).
Southeast will continue its outdoor season in Carbondale, Illinois at Southern Illinois' Don DeNoon Invitational. The event will open Friday, February 3 and will conclude the following day.
