#5 Southeast Missouri (7-7-3) faces #8 Austin Peay (8-6-3) in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Friday. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m., CT, at E.S. Rose Park. The first and quarterfinal rounds will be played on Belmont University's campus in Nashville, Tennessee.

Southeast makes its 16th Ohio Valley Conference Tournament appearance this season. The Redhawks won the event twice with the last title coming in 2007. Southeast is 10-8-3 all-time in OVC Tournament play. The Redhawks fell to Murray State, 1-0, in overtime during their last OVC Tournament appearance in 2015.

Series History
The Redhawks lead the all-time series against Austin Peay 9-6-4, including a 1-1 tie with the Governors earlier this year. Southeast is 1-2 against APSU in the OVC tournament. The Governors defeated the Redhawks, 1-0, in the 2013 OVC Tournament quarterfinals. The last time the Redhawks beat Austin Peay in the OVC Tournament was 2006 (3-0).
Scouting the Opponent
Austin Peay beat Morehead State last week 2-0 to clinch a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. Kristen Robinson scored her 11th goal of the season, which leads the Governors. She also leads the team in points (23), shots (63), shots on goal (30) and game-winning goals (3). Pamela Penaloza tops the team with three assists and Mary Parker Powell has a team-high seven wins and five shutouts.

The Redhawks locked up the #5 seed for this year's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament with 1-0 victory over Jacksonville State. Esmie Gonzales scored her fifth goal in three games when Lexi Grote dribbled down the sideline and crossed the ball perfectly to Gonzales who headed the ball into the back of the net. Kindra Lierz had five saves for her third shutout of the season.

If Southeast wins Friday, it will remain in Nashville, Tennessee to take on #4 Belmont on Sunday at 2 p.m.
