Series History
Rivals Southeast and Murray State meet for the 77th time Thursday. MSU holds a 55-21 lead in the all-time series which dates back to 1930-31. The Redhawks have played the Racers more than any school in the Ohio Valley Conference. MSU won the first matchup between these teams this season by a score of 89-73 on Jan. 4 in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers are 28-9 all-time at the Show Me Center.

February Home Games
The Redhawks close out their 2017-18 season with five of their next eight games at the Show Me Center. Southeast also welcomes Austin Peay (Feb. 3), Eastern Illinois (Feb. 15), SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 17) and UT Martin (Feb. 24) in February.

Battle of the Scorers
Murray State's Jonathan Stark and Southeast's Denzel Mahoney are the Ohio Valley Conference's top two scorers. Stark enters the week averaging 20 points a game, while Mahoney is close behind with 19.5. The pair have combined for 41 double-digit scoring games and 869 points this season. Stark and Mahoney also share this year's OVC single-game high of 36 points. Stark accomplished that feat against the Redhawks on Jan. 4 and Mahoney hit that mark at SIU Edwardsville on Jan. 18.

Headed for 1,000 Points
Denzel Mahoney is inching his way closer to 1,000 points in his two-year Southeast career. Mahoney, who led the Redhawks in scoring during 16 games this season, has 941 points in 56 career starts. If he reaches that milestone, Mahoney will be the second player under head coach Rick Ray to score 1,000 points at Southeast. Mahoney will also become the fifth different Redhawk to score over 1,000 career points since 2012-13.

Last Time Out
The Redhawks began the second half of Ohio Valley Conference play with a 78-60 road loss at Jacksonville State (Jan. 27). Southeast scored under 70 points in a game for the fourth time this season and turned the ball over 17 times, its most in a league game this year. Denzel Mahoney led the Redhawks with 17 points, while freshman Justin Carpenter added 12.

Simmons Leads OVC
Senior Daniel Simmons leads the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-point field goal percentage. Simmons is shooting 45.6 percent (36-of-79) from long range through 23 games. He drained multiple 3-pointers 12 times this season.

Brewer Time
Freshman Ledarrius Brewer has scored double figures in nine of his last 10 games. Brewer is Southeast's second-leading scorer with 13 points per contest. He drained multiple 3-pointers in six of those 10 contests. Brewer ranks 17th in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring and 11th in 3-point field goals made (2.1 per game).

Redhawks Clear 200 Three-Pointers Made
For the second-straight season, Southeast made over 200 three-pointers. The Redhawks have drained a total of 209 treys in 23 games. It is the first time Southeast buried over 200 three-pointers in back-to-back seasons since 2006-07 (254) and 2007-08 (206). The Redhawks set a single-season school record with 263 made 3-pointers a year ago.
