OVC Indoor Championships

Southeast Missouri's track and field teams will compete in the OVC Indoor Championships this Friday and Saturday at Lantz Fieldhouse in Charleston, Ill.
The meet will feature every OVC men's and women's track and field teams. Last season, Eastern Illinois' men's and women's team both won the event.
Action begins at 9 a.m. both Friday and Saturday morning.
Last Time Out
Southeast track and field competed in the Redhawk Open last Friday at the SEMO Rec Center.
In the women's 400 meter dash, Georgia Tomlinson
took first place for Southeast with a time of 59.12 seconds
took first place in the men's one mile run, finishing in 4:13.03, setting a new facility record at the SEMO Rec Center. Maton was awarded Male OVC Track Athlete of the Week for his efforts.
In the women's pole vault, Madison McPeak
took first place, clearing 12'3.5" (3.75m).
placed first in the men's pole vault for the Redhawks, reaching 13'7.25" (4.15m).
In the men's high jump, Tallyn Brazell
took first place, clearing 6'8.75" (2.05m).
took second place for Southeast in the women's high jump, reaching 5'1" (1.55m).
In the men's triple jump, Chris Martin
took first place clearing 51'6.5" (15.71m).
Next Time Out
If any member of the track and field team qualifies, they will head to College Station, Texas for the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 9-10. A small group will also head to South Alabama next weekend for the Jaguar Opener to kick off the outdoor season.
